St. Vincent’s Hospice invites you to join their online Summer Gathering of Thanksgiving and Remembrance live on their Facebook page at on Sunday 23rd August at 2pm.

Every year, the Hospice’s Summer Gathering plays a vital role in supporting those who have lost a loved one, by bringing them together with people from across the community going through similar experiences for an afternoon of remembrance, readings and music with members of the team from St. Vincent’s.

While this is not possible this year, St. Vincent’s remain committed to being there for the entire family throughout their journey. As a result, they will be holding their first ever online Summer Gathering live over social media on their Facebook page.

Spiritual Care Co-Ordinator for St. Vincent’s Hospice, Catherine McGrath said: “Over the last several months, responding to the unprecedented circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have continued to find new ways to make sure we are providing the care and support which is needed by people in our community who are affected by life limiting conditions. A vital part of this making sure that this extends to everyone in the family who has been impacted by the loss of someone close to them.

“2020 has been a difficult year for everyone so far, especially those who have lost someone close to them. That is why we hope you will join us online on Sunday 23 August at 2pm as for the first time we live stream our Summer Gathering through social media. We believe it is so important that even when apart, we are there for one another. So please, log on from the safety of your own home for an afternoon of readings, music and memories as we look to the future with hope and love.”

If you would like to join in the Summer Gathering, please visit: www.Facebook.com/StVincentsHospice at Sunday 23rd August at 2pm to watch live. Don’t forget, you can leave comments, messages and questions to interact with the team and everyone else watching.
