Bikers from up and down the country are being urged to descend on the Erskine Veterans Village in Bishopton and help raise funds for Scotland’s largest Veterans’ charity.
The Erskine Motorbike Meet, now into its 17th year, will be held on Sunday, 28th May and will run from 1-5pm. A highlight of the Erskine events calendar, this year the event expects to welcome around 4,000 visitors.
Over 1,000 bikers, trikers, riders and Veterans, in chauffeured cars, will kick-off a spectacular parade starting at Park Mains High School in Erskine.
The parade will then travel through the town before arriving at Erskine Veterans Village to the Pipes and Drums of Balaklava – the band of The A&SH Regimental Association.
The day will be full of fun for all the family with entertainment, live music, a market village, fairground, music stage and street food. Always popular with visitors, there will also be several Star Wars costumed walk arounds and a military display courtesy of the Royal Artillery.
Entry for bikes is a £5 donation and entry for visitors is £2 donation per person – kids go free!
Jennifer Campbell, Erskine’s Events and Sponsorship Manager said: “Erskine is looking forward to welcoming back all the wonderful motorbike enthusiasts, families and supporters to the annual Erskine Motorbike Meet.
“Led by Erskine Ambassador Heather Clissett and supported by our amazing volunteers, the Erskine Motorbike Meet is an unmissable family fun day that raises vital funds for our Veterans. Thanks to our friends at DXC Technology for providing a dedicated car park for the day and also to McGill’s for providing the shuttle bus. We hope everyone will join us to enjoy this year’s event.”
