A Police officer attended hospital after he was injured during a disturbance in the Millarston area of Paisley.
The incident occurred at a row of shops at Ferguslie Retail Park in Millarston, Paisley at around 7.55pm on Sunday.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday.
An officer sustained an arm injury during the incident and was treated at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
A witness told Renfrewshire News, “A bloke was restrained and put in the back of the police van. It took a few of them to control him. The abuse coming from his mouth was shocking.
“He was threating to kill the officers if he could escape from the van.”
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “Officers attended, and a 26-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 10 July 2023.
“A male police officer was treated at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for an arm injury that he sustained during the incident.”
