A business located in the Sainsbury’s superstore at Braehead is set to mark five years of eye care and hearing services for customers in the local community this September.
Specsavers in Sainsbury’s Braehead has completed over 33,000 eye examinations, grown its team to 17 staff members and doubled their facilities from two test rooms to four, aiding customers from across Renfrewshire and Glasgow with their eye health and hearing concerns since opening in 2018.
To commemorate the anniversary, which also falls during National Eye Health Week, the store will be hosting an instore celebration from 21st – 26th September, complete with a raffle, balloons, cake and sweets for customers, as well as a daily chance for one lucky customer to win a pair of glasses.
The store has been providing both routine and emergency eye care to members of the community even during the pandemic, when the store was open for emergency eye care provision for local customers.
Jane Gottschlich, store director at Specsavers in Sainsbury’s Braehead, says: ‘This is a huge milestone for our team after a fantastic five years of caring for our local community. As a locally-owned store, everyone in store is from the local area so to be able to continue that passion for the neighbouring areas and the people who live there through our care and expertise has been incredible.
