Paisley based charity Shopmobility Paisley & District have officially announced their new name of Shopmobility Renfrewshire.
The announcment was made at recent meeting of RenSEN (Renfrewshire Social Enterprise Network) in Johnstone.
All the official paperwork has been approved by Companies House and OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator).
Councillor Kenny MacLaren said: “It was time to move forward and clarify our role in providing excellent services to people with mobility problems all across Renfrewshire.
“It was great of the RenSEN network to give us the time to present not only our new name but to outline our new plans for taking our local shopmobility services forward.
“This included our plans to offer more widely our mobility scooter maintenance and repairs service for anyone who has problems with their own scooter. Just give us a call and we’ll see what we can do to get you mobile again.”
Karen Miller Office Manager and Fundraising Officer of Shopmobility Renfrewshire added: “More and more funders, including local council partnerships, were constantly asking what areas we cover so moving to Shopmobility Renfrewshire as our new name better reflects the area we cover.
“All the legal changes have been completed with both Companies House and OSCR, and we’re looking forward to pushing ahead with our new name but still focussing on providing excellent services to the people of Renfrewshire.”
