Police Scotland are appealing for information after a 62-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Erskine on Saturday.

The 62-year-old man was assaulted by a man within the Bracken pub in Bridgewater shopping centre at around 5.55pm.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment then later released.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 35 – 45 years and of medium build with black hair. He was wearing a black polo shirt with white trim, black jeans, black glasses and white trainers.

Detective Constable James Campbell said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police, or anyone with information to contact us. I would also ask anyone with any personal footage to please get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2952 of 11 May. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
