A Paisley man is accused of assaulting his partner to the danger of her life.

Daryn Dolan, 45, allegedly attacked Stephanie Wilson at a property in Glasgow’s Pollokshaws on 17th November 2022.

Court papers state Dolan took a mobile phone from her and refused to return it.

The charge says Dolan placed a hand over her mouth to prevent her seeking assistance and repeatedly pinned her to the ground.

Allegations go on to claim Dolan repeatedly seized Miss Wilson by the hair then struck her head against the floor and other surfaces.

Dolan is then said to have repeatedly seized her by the neck which caused her to lose consciousness.

The charge stated Dolan went on to repeatedly punch Miss Wilson on the head and body as well as kicked her on the head and body.

The allegation is said to have been to Miss Wilson’s severe injury and danger of life.

Dolan faces a second charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards Miss Wilson at the same time and place.

He is claimed to have shouted and swore at her as well as kick a door then pulled a television of the wall which caused damage.

Dolan is stated to have went on to throw a number of household items which also caused damage.

Dolan pled not guilty today/yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to both charges.

A trial was set for September this year by Sheriff Paul Reid.
