Police officers from the ‘Local Problem Solving Team’ [LPST] have increased patrols in Ferguslie Park after several derelict buildings were set on fire recently.

We’re told the increase in police presence is in and around the the Tannahill Terrace area in Paisley.

Craig Marshall, Sergeant for Paisley LPST said: “I would encourage anyone with information regarding those responsible for the recent issues in the area to get in touch with us.

“The site is currently being demolished and is fenced to maximise public safety. Please think of the dangers associated with derelict buildings and keep out.

“You can contact local officers by calling 101 [and] always 999 in an emergency.”
