The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra are bringing their programme of traditional Scottish music to Paisley Town Hall later this month.

Enjoy a unique and up-close experience that only Scotland’s National Fiddle Orchestra can provide, with an unprecedented sound that captures both the traditional and modern styles of Scotland’s music.

The 90-strong orchestra, led by conductor Blair Parham, will share the stage with talented, up and coming tenor Christopher Haggerty. Well-known Scottish entertainer and member of Scottish group Manran, Gary Innes, will be on the mic as compere for the evening, keeping the crowd entertained between sets and local favourites the Renfrewshire Schools Pipe Band with Pipe Major Keith Bowes will join the orchestra in some audience favourites bringing an evening of world-class entertainment which is perfect for the whole family.

For over 40 years the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra have been bringing the beauty and heritage of Scotland’s traditional music to audiences across the globe. The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra is a renowned traditional orchestra that performs toe-tapping performances that celebrate the rich heritage of Scottish music. Music lovers of all ages can expect to enjoy toe-tapping reels and jigs, lively strathspeys and marches, and poignant slow airs performed by the skilled members of one of Scotland’s foremost traditional music organisations.

Bob Diament, Chairman of the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, said: “We can’t wait to visit the newly refurbished Paisley Town Hall.

“We’re honoured to be joined by the incredible Christopher Haggerty and Renfrewshire’s very own Schools Pipe Band, whose rousing performances never fail to delight. We hope to see people of all ages join us for what is sure to be a fantastic evening of live music.”

The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra is a charity run by volunteers and is fully self-supported. The orchestra makes donations to other musical-related charities, partner pipe bands, medical charities and the RNLI.
