A renowned independent homebuilder has begun construction on a 179-home site previously left in limbo.

Dundas took on the residential development in Bishopton, Renfrewshire which had started construction under developer Stewart Milne before its collapse.

After acquiring the site earlier in the summer, Dundas is fulfilling its promise to deliver quality housing to the area, with a new show home coming soon for keen buyers to view.

Craig Fairfoull, Sales & Marketing Director at Dundas, said: “The site represents a fresh start and a unique opportunity to create a vibrant new community that offers something for everyone.

“We have made this progress without any significant issues on-site, which is a positive indicator of the smooth journey ahead. We look forward to welcoming our first residents and seeing this new community come to life.”

The new development offers excellent transport links and accessibility to Glasgow and the nearby motorway network.

It will offer 179 new homes, ranging from three to six-bedroom properties, catering to a variety of family sizes and needs. Of these, 62 homes will be designated as affordable housing.

As part of this ambitious project, the award-winning developer will also contribute to the creation of a community woodland park, recreational spaces, and other community amenities, including a new health centre and primary school.

Dundas is a multiple award-winning independent homebuilder in Scotland. It focuses on crafting homes that enhance the well-being of its valued customers and making the home-buying experience simpler, more enriching, and enjoyable.
