Two men have been taken to hospital after they were struck by a car in Paisley.

The incident, which happened at around 8.10am on Wednesday at Hawkhead Road in Paisley caused the road to be closed most of the day.

Emergency services attended and the two men, aged 40 and 51, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Police Scotland said: “Anyone with any information who has not spoken to officers should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0695 of Wednesday, 18 September, 2024.”
