The mother of a missing Johnstone teenager has made an appeal for her daughter to come home.

Freya Wrethman, 16 is believed to be in Edinburgh and may be planning to board a train to London.

Her mother, Jullie Moffat told Renfrewshire News she is with another person, a male and has described Freya as a vulnerable person.

Freya is described 5ft 6ins, wearing grey jogging bottoms, black Converse trainers and a pink White Fox hoodie.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries, which are at a very early stage, are ongoing to trace a 16-year-old girl missing from Renfrewshire.”
