Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in Glenburn, Paisley on Friday.
A woman in her 30s was walking her two spaniel dogs along the footpath from Braeview Drive to Redhurst Way when she was approached by a man who grabbed her to the front and sexually assaulted her.
The incident happened between 8.45pm and 9pm on Friday evening.
The suspect is described as white, has facial stubble, has a small tattoo on his left hand between his thumb and forefinger, and was possibly under the influence of alcohol.
Detective Constable Fraser Williams, Renfrewshire CID, Police Scotland, said: “Although the lady involved did not require medical treatment, this was very distressing for her to experience. Indeed, she was so upset that she was not able to report this to police for a couple of days.
“We would ask anyone who was in the area of Braeview Drive to Redhurst Way between 8pm and 9pm on Friday night, or who may have doorbell or dashcam footage of the area around that time, to get in touch.
DC Williams, added: “If anyone recognises the description of the man, then please contact police.
“Information can be passed to officers via 101. Please quote incident number 1547 of Sunday, 27 October 2024. Alternatively, details can be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
