Three lucky Renfrewshire school children have had their artwork selected to be made into Christmas cards through the Provost’s Christmas Card competition.

Elana from St James’ Primary in Renfrew, Mia from St James’ Primary in Paisley, and Cas from Howwood Primary in Howwood were selected by Provost Cameron from thousands of entries and will see their designs recreated digitally and sent all over the world.

The Provost’s Christmas Card competition is an annual competition to select the Provost’s official Christmas cards, and this year was ran in partnership with I Am Me, with all submitted cards being passed on to the charity to be sent out to elderly residents across Renfrewshire this Christmas.

Provost Cameron said: “Selecting my official Christmas cards is something I look forward to every year and I always love seeing the designs that are sent in.

“This year I was looking for designs inspired by the theme of ‘Christmas dinner’. It was a hard theme and our winners created three excellent designs. Thank you everyone who submitted a Christmas card this year. All our entries are sent out to elderly residents in Renfrewshire and I know your creations will make so many people smile this Christmas.

“I hope Elana, Mia and Cas enjoy seeing their designs come to life.

“The competition will run again next winter so keep an eye out on my social media channels to find out more information on how to enter nearer the time.”
