Scottish Leather Group (SLG), which manufactures the world’s lowest carbon leather, has been honoured with a quartet of prestigious industry and business accolades.
At the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce’s annual ROCCO Awards, Scottish Leather Group, which encompasses brands Bridge of Weir Leather, Lang and Muirhead, triumphed in the Family Business of the Year, International Trade, and Employer of the Year categories.
The company also earned the Technical Excellence Award at the Innovate Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Awards, recognising its groundbreaking partnership with the University of Northampton.

Bridge of Weir Leather’s global customers include Aston Martin, Ford Lincoln and Lotus, while Muirhead supplies Mulberry, British Airways, Qatar Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

The initiative is part of Scottish Leather Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, ethical manufacturing, and positive social impact

Its recently published 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report revealed that the business is now 90% of the way to achieving its goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions for its Scope 1 and 2 impacts, with 89% of group waste now recycled or recovered through its own processes towards the 100% target.
