A man has been arrested in connection with a Paisley hit-and-run.
Officers confirmed today that an 18-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving pedestrian Elizabeth Kennedy, 70 from Paisley.
Elizabeth died at the scene after being struck by a white car that failed to stop.
The incident happened around 7pm on Tuesday, 31st December, 2024, on Barrhead Road, just east of the junction with Ladykirk Crescent.
Police Scotland statment in full: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a car in Paisley.
“The incident happened around 7pm on Tuesday, 31 December, 2024, on Barrhead Road.
“Elizabeth Kennedy, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man has been released pending further enquiries.”
