Engage Renfrewshire is excited to celebrate Volunteers Week 2025 and extends a heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations who continue to make a profound impact in our local communities.
From providing vital services to supporting local events, the efforts of our volunteers are truly unmatched.
Volunteers Week is an opportunity to recognise and honour the dedication, passion, and hard work of volunteers who give their time and energy to help others. Their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those around them is a shining example of the spirit of community that makes Renfrewshire such a special place to live.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local volunteers who selflessly give their time, skills, and knowledge to various causes in Renfrewshire. Their efforts, whether big or small, create lasting positive change and are a testament to the power of collective action. To the volunteer-involving organisations, we are grateful for your continued support and commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for people to get involved and make a difference.
This week, we encourage all organisations to take a moment to thank their volunteers. Recognition is essential in showing appreciation for their efforts and ensuring that volunteers feel valued and motivated to continue their important work.
Engage Renfrewshire in partnership with the Tannahill Centre are hosting a Volunteer Fair on Monday, 2nd June, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. This event will provide an opportunity for individuals interested in volunteering to explore various local organisations and find a cause that resonates with them. Whether someone is looking to give back to their community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded individuals, this fair will offer a range of exciting opportunities.
“Volunteers are the heart of our communities, and it is essential that we take the time to celebrate their work and express our gratitude. As we come together during Volunteers Week, let’s acknowledge the significant role volunteers play in shaping Renfrewshire and continue to support and encourage their efforts” – Quote from Louise Walker, Volunteer Development Officer at Engage Renfrewshire.
