The Paisley Pirates are gearing up for the biggest weekend of their season, as they prepare to face the Aberdeen Lynx in a crucial two-game series that will determine who advances to the Playoff Final Weekend.
After months of tactical refinement and strong performances under the leadership of coaches Ian Turley and Rab Henderson, the Pirates are entering the weekend with growing momentum and everything to play for. While league positioning is already finalised, this weekend represents the final opportunity for Paisley to secure a place in the postseason showcase.
The group standings currently see the Dundee Rockets at the top, having won all of their games and qualified for the Final Weekend. The Pirates and the Lynx have both suffered defeats to the Rockets, but Paisley’s overtime battle last Saturday earned them one vital point—putting them ahead of Aberdeen, who remain on zero.
Only one team from the group will qualify, and with Paisley holding a narrow lead, this weekend’s home-and-away double-header will decide it.
