A man has been arrested after Police Scotland discovered a cannabis cultivation in a building in Renfrew.

The discovery was made at around 10.35am on Wednesday at Aranthrue Crescent, in the town.

Officers have confirmed more than 100 plants were removed, worth an estimated street value of £66,000.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.

He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 13 September, 2024.
