The team at Specsavers in Sainsbury’s Braehead are inviting local customers to get into the giving spirit this festive season by asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who may not receive a gift this Christmas.

The store, located in the Braehead supermarket, is a collection point for gifts, which will be distributed to local families in need through local foodbank EBI Unite.

Customers can drop off presents into the store throughout November. The last call for presents will be in early December.

Anyone who kindly provides the team with a donation as part of the collection will also receive a 25 per cent voucher from their glasses in store.

Jane Gottschlich director at Specsavers Braehead, says: ‘With our in-store toy drive, our team is hoping to support the fantastic work of the EBI Unite, helping to make a vital difference to someone’s life this Christmas.

‘We urge any customers who have the opportunity to provide a new toy or gift to our collection point to pay us a visit this November to help us collect as many presents as possible.’
