The Erskine Veterans Charity Tree of Honour Event 2024 was held on Tuesday.

Despite the dreadful weather residents, families, staff and friends all gathered to sing Christmas Carols and see resident Nancy Connor, 80 switching on the lights.

Nancy was over the moon to be asked to turn the lights on.

She said: “It was so nice to be able to take part in the event and especially to turn the lights on”.

After the lights were turned on everyone moved to the Bunker for refreshments, a sing song and a heat.

The tree is now standing resplendent at the entrance to The Erskine Home in the Erskine Veterans Village in Bishopton.
