Staff from the four-star Alona Hotel at Strathclyde Country Park recently spread some Christmas cheer by delivering an afternoon tea for residents of Renfrew Care Home.

The hotel chefs, with M&D’s theme park, served up a traditional high tea of sandwiches, savoury treats and cakes for the 55 residents which was delivered to the care home in Cocklesloan, Renfrew.

Robert Graham, General Manager, Alona Hotel said, “At this time of year the older generation are often overlooked and we were keen to sprinkle a bit of festive generosity their way.

“The team had a great time chatting to the residents.”

Uniquely set in the scenic surroundings of Strathclyde Country Park in Lanarkshire, the four-star Alona Hotel is perfectly situated for short-breaks and business travel as well as hosting celebratory occasions from birthdays to baby showers, special anniversaries and corporate events.

The Glasshouse restaurant and bar is equally as hospitable with its unique architecture, a custom- built atrium overlooking the loch, where people can enjoy a coffee in the lounge or select from a variety of menu options. Further information is available from www.alonahotel.co.uk.
