A street in Foxbar, Paisley has been closed after a man died after reports of a disturbance yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called Maree Road and Lochbroom Drive in Paisley at around 4.15pm on Saturday.

A 21-year-old man, named locally as Robert McNally, was found seriously injured with stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene at Maree Road and Lochbroom Drive at around 4.15pm.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and his next of kin are aware.

A forensics tent remains at the scene and a cordon in place with no access to the street for members of the public.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with assault and enquiries are ongoing.

Videos on social media show fireworks being let off and a confrontation with up to three men.

Detective Inspector Euan McMillan said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident, however, there is no threat to the wider public.

“Officers will remain in the area as enquiries are carried out and anyone with any concerns, can approach them.”
