Police Scotland has launched an investigation following the attempted robbery of a man in Houston.

The 66-year-old was making his way to his car in a car park on Crosslee Crescent, at around 7pm last night, when he was approached by two males who demanded money.

Nothing was taken and there were no reports of any injuries.

Both suspects are believed to be around 15 or 16-years-old.

The first suspect is described as being around 5ft 10in tall and of slim build. The second suspect is described as being around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.

Both were dressed in all black with black ski masks.

Detective Constable Stephen Solomon said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2865 of Wednesday, 19th February, 2025.”
