Officers from Glasgow Road Policing Unit conducted a joint operation with officers in Paisley today.
Checks on vehicles took part at Renfrew Road near Turner Road in Paisley.
Officers confirmed that of the 47 vehicles stopped, one was seized for no insurance, two vehicles were issued COFPN’s (Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty Notices) for having no MOT, and a number of motorists were given advice and guidance on a wide range of issues.
PC Eastaugh, of the Greater Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Road Policing Unit said “We want Scotland’s roads to be safe for everyone – and today we checked numerous vehicles.
“Thankfully the majority of vehicles stopped were of a good standard.
“We ask all motorists to make sure the vehicle you are riding or driving is fit to be on the road”.
