A pervert who raped two girls and a woman was jailed today for 10 years.
John Kennedy, 51, attacked his victims at properties in East Renfrewshire and West Lothian between 1998 and 2010.
Kennedy raped a five-year-old girl in Barrhead and sexually assaulted her on a separate occasion in Armadale.
The charge says Kennedy seized her by the body, pulled her towards him and kissed her on the mouth.
Kennedy raped the second girl who was aged between four and 10 at the Armadale property.
It is stated Kennedy seized her by the leg which caused her to fall down a flight of stairs.
Kennedy then removed the girl’s clothing and restrained her before he raped her.
Kennedy also committed lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards the same girl at both properties.
He kissed the girl on the mouth, exposed himself, touched her on the body as well as other intimate areas.
Kennedy also performed a sex act while in her presence.
Kennedy further raped a woman at the property while she was asleep.
He continued the sex attack on her after she woke up on various occasions.
Kennedy was found guilty of a total of six sexual offences and appeared today at the High Court in Glasgow for sentencing.
Judge Douglas Brown said: “This was a gross breach of trust.
“It is clear from one of the girls’ victim impact statements that she suffered severe and enduring psychological harm.
“In the woman’s impact statement, she described your behaviour as vile.
“It is clear that the offences caused her psychological harm.
“You pose a significant risk to the public of serious harm and to be released without supervision would pose harm to the public.”
The judge ordered Kennedy to be under supervision upon his release from prison for three years.
Kennedy was also given an indefinite non-harassment order which prohibits his contact with his three victims.
