A 16-year-old teenager has been taken to hospital after he was injured during an altercation in Johnstone.
The incident happened at lunch time, close to a bus stop on Thornbrae across from the entrance to Thorn Court.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident and arrived at around 12.25pm.
Officers said an 18-year-old male has been arrested, however, enquiries are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Wednesday, 13 September 2023, police were called to a report of a teenage boy being injured during an altercation near to Thorn Court, Johnstone.
“Emergency services attended, and the 16-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
“An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
