Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron is searching for community heroes as nominations open for the 2024 Provost’s Community Awards.
Extraordinary employees and superlative sportspeople are among those being sought as the awards recognise the people who make Renfrewshire a better place to live, work and visit.
There are five categories available to nominate in and these are:
- Community Volunteer (sponsored by Glasgow Airport Ltd)
- Community Group (sponsored by City Gate Construction)
- Sport Award (sponsored by ACRE Industrial Services)
- Employee of the Year (sponsored by UNISON Renfrewshire)
- Arts and Culture Award (sponsored by Renfrewshire Council)
Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “The Community Awards nomination period is always one of the highlights of my year because I get to hear about all the fantastic achievements and work taking place in communities across Renfrewshire.
“These awards are the perfect opportunity for you to put forward those who go above and beyond and who often go unrecognised for their efforts.
“I can’t wait to read your nominations so don’t miss out on the chance to nominate and start getting them in now.”
The Provost will be joined by the award sponsors and other local elected members to choose the winners who will be invited, along with their nominator, to the awards ceremony in March 2024.
