Fearful Love: Kirsty Logan & Sean Hewitt

Bringing together two of Scotland and Ireland’s foremost writing talents, whose latest books take an alternative look at romance and ask questions about what love really looks like and how it impacts our lives. Glasgow-based writer Kirsty Logan, known for witchy tales and rewritings of myths in novels such as The Gracekeepers, The Gloaming, and Now She is Witch, introduces her latest short-story collection, No & Other Love Stories, which takes a characteristically dark and engrossing perspective on the complexities and cruelties of love and desire. Sean Hewitt, an acclaimed Irish poet and author, whose 2022 memoir All Down Darkness Wide won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, introduces his long-awaited debut novel, Open, Heaven, which follows the deeply emotive story of two young boys as they long to discover themselves, and each other, and a terrifying desire takes over their lives.
