St Mirren FC have published their William Hill Premiership schedule for 2025\/26 on the club\u2019s official Facebook page – and supporters were quick to share their thoughts.<\/p>\n
The Buddies face both Old Firm sides in their first three matches, prompting plenty of chatter. Mick Maguire quipped, \u201cCan we put our Arsenal hat on and moan about two games against the Old Firm in the first three?\u201d Thomas Sanderson saw a silver lining: \u201cBest time to get Celtic and Rangers is before they hit top gear\u2014great incentive for our squad in pre-season.\u201d<\/p>\n
Others were more cautious. Steven Munro pointed out, \u201cHonestly, those four fixtures just before the split look tough\u2026 but it is what it is.\u201d Dylan Murphy took a lighter view: \u201cAt least we\u2019ve got Falkirk early\u2014easy three points.\u201d<\/p>\n
Giarc Eideewt said it made sense to get big games out of the way: \u201cI\u2019d rather face Celtic first, then hope they\u2019re not firing on all cylinders.\u201d Chris Hamil agreed: \u201cExactly\u2014better to play the heavyweights before they find rhythm.\u201d Giarc added: \u201cBeating Rangers is becoming a habit for us, but I\u2019d still prefer that challenge at the start than midway through the season.\u201d<\/p>\n
