Thorn Athletic\u2019s 2017s team is looking for intermediate and advanced young players to join the squad as the club prepares for the next stage of its development.<\/p>\n
The Johnstone-based side is encouraging parents of talented players born in 2017 to get involved, with training currently taking place on Mondays at Seedhill and Fridays at Ferguslie.<\/p>\n
The club says players will benefit from coaching delivered by SFA and UEFA-qualified coaches, with a focus on developing young footballers in a positive and supportive environment.<\/p>\n
Thorn Athletic is also preparing to move into a brand-new, custom-built training complex which aims to support the development of grassroots players and provide improved facilities for the club.<\/p>\n
The 2017s squad is part of the wider Thorn Athletic Football Club setup at the Thorn Athletic Sports Academy in Johnstone, which has built a reputation locally for developing young talent.<\/p>\n
The club says places in the squad are limited and they are keen to hear from dedicated young players who want to develop their game.<\/p>\n
