The Scottish Premiership run-in has been confirmed, with the post-split fixtures setting up a tense finish at both ends of the table.<\/p>\n
The division will split after this weekend\u2019s fixtures, with the top six battling for the title and European places, while the bottom six fight to avoid relegation.<\/p>\n
At the top, the title race remains alive heading into the final five matches. Celtic, Rangers and Hearts are all still in contention, with several key head-to-head fixtures scheduled.<\/p>\n
The standout match comes on Sunday, 10th May, when Celtic host Rangers in the final Glasgow derby of the season. The SPFL has again avoided placing the fixture on the final weekend due to policing concerns, instead scheduling it for the third-last round of games.<\/p>\n
Hearts\u2019 challenge adds further interest to the title race. The Edinburgh side begin their post-split campaign with a derby away to Hibernian on Sunday, 26th April, before also facing Rangers and Celtic during the run-in.<\/p>\n
There are also important fixtures involving Falkirk, Motherwell and Hibernian, with European qualification still to be decided across the top six.<\/p>\n
In the bottom half, St Mirren face a crucial run of matches as they look to secure their Premiership status.<\/p>\n
The Paisley side open at home to Livingston on Saturday, 25th April, before travelling to Dundee the following weekend.<\/p>\n
A home match against Kilmarnock on Saturday, 9th May could prove significant, with all three sides expected to be battling in the same area of the table.<\/p>\n
St Mirren then travel to Aberdeen on Tuesday, 12th May, before finishing their campaign at home to Dundee United on Sunday, 17th May.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere in the bottom six, there are several key fixtures between direct rivals, including Dundee against Livingston and Aberdeen\u2019s meetings with both Kilmarnock and St Mirren.<\/p>\n
With every point likely to matter, the post-split fixtures set up a tight and competitive end to the Premiership season across both halves of the table.<\/p>\n
