Renfrew produced a ruthless attacking display to defeat Rutherglen Glencairn 6\u20130 at New Western Park on Saturday 18th April 2026.<\/p>\n

The home side made a fast start and were ahead on 12 minutes when Chris Mahon opened the scoring, continuing his recent form in front of goal.<\/p>\n

Renfrew doubled their advantage on 18 minutes through Cameron Kerr, who finished calmly to make it 2\u20130.<\/p>\n

The home side continued to press and almost added a third on 29 minutes, as Sean Fyfe put Aiden Malcolm through on goal, but from a tight angle his shot across goal drifted just wide of the far post.<\/p>\n

Kerr did grab his second just before the break on 45 minutes, his low effort squeezing through the goalkeeper to give Renfrew a 3\u20130 lead at half-time.<\/p>\n

There was also entertainment off the pitch during the interval, with local dance troupe Jazzle Dazzle performing in front of the crowd.<\/p>\n

Renfrew remained in control after the restart and extended their lead on 71 minutes when Alan Cook scored the goal of the game, firing a free-kick from around 30 yards into the wind and beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

Ben Harwood then made it five on 79 minutes, finishing from close range after good build-up play.<\/p>\n

Harwood added his second of the afternoon on 86 minutes, converting again from inside the box to complete the scoring at 6\u20130.<\/p>\n

Rutherglen Glencairn had few answers to Renfrew\u2019s intensity, with the home side controlling the game throughout and limiting the visitors to very little in attack.<\/p>\n

Renfrew\u2019s strong run of form continues as they build momentum heading into the final stages of the season.<\/p>\n

Next up, Renfrew host Auchinleck Talbot at New Western Park on Tuesday (8:00pm).<\/p>\n
