Johnstone Burgh will begin their Scottish Lowland Football League West campaign at home to Troon on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
The match at Keanie Park will be Burgh\u2019s first competitive home game of the season and their debut in the league.<\/p>\n
Kick-off is at 7.45pm on Wednesday 29th July 2026.<\/p>\n
Stevie Farrell will take charge of Burgh for his first competitive match after being appointed manager during the summer.<\/p>\n
His side enjoyed a positive pre-season, including a 2-0 win over St Roch\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Burgh finished sixth in the West of Scotland Premier Division last season before securing their place in the new league.<\/p>\n
Summer signings include goalkeeper Brett Long and striker Thomas Orr.<\/p>\n
The squad also includes Kyle Lafferty, Mark Durnan, Kristopher Kerr, Scott Forrester, Broque Watson and Del Esplin.<\/p>\n
Troon have already played one league match this season. They lost 2-0 away to Pollok on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Nathan Baird and Evan Ferguson are available again after returning from holidays.<\/p>\n
Clayton Hood is unavailable, while Leyton Dunlop, Jack Allan and Ben Armour are expected to miss the match through injury.<\/p>\n
Jack Sherrie remains out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, while Mark Morrison is continuing his recovery from hip surgery.<\/p>\n
The sides won one match each against each other last season.<\/p>\n
Troon won 2-0 at Keanie Park in April, while Burgh recorded a 2-1 victory at Troon in December.<\/p>\n
Mark Daly will referee Wednesday\u2019s match, assisted by Michael McCart and Rhys Brown.<\/p>\n
Admission costs \u00a312 for adults and \u00a37 for concessions. Under-16s can attend free.<\/p>\n
The Burgh Bar will be open to all supporters. The kitchen, snack bar and merchandise shop will also be open.<\/p>\n
Supporters travelling by car have been asked to be mindful of residents near the ground. Traffic wardens are expected to be in the area.<\/p>\n
