Johnstone Burgh fought back from 4-1 down to earn a 4-4 draw against Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood Stadium on Saturday, 12th September.<\/p>\n

Burgh were the only Renfrewshire side in Scottish Lowland League West action, with Renfrew having a free week.<\/p>\n

Manager Stevie Farrell made eight changes from the side which beat Saint Anthony\u2019s 2-0 the previous weekend, while new signing Sam Jamieson started on the bench following his move from Troon.<\/p>\n

Cumbernauld Colts took the lead in the 11th minute. Jude Freel found Harrison Howe, who took the ball past Kian Gilday before finishing into the bottom corner.<\/p>\n

Burgh levelled in the 27th minute when Ian McShane\u2019s free-kick found Mark Durnan at the back post and he headed home from six yards.<\/p>\n

The scores were level for only a minute. Durnan\u2019s clearance fell to Jamie Semple outside the box and he fired a half-volley into the top corner off the post.<\/p>\n

Thomas Horn made it 3-1 in the 43rd minute after Aiden McLaughlin\u2019s shot fell into his path.<\/p>\n

Horn struck again in the 58th minute. A long ball from Callum Home released the forward, who took the ball past Brett Long before rolling it into the empty net.<\/p>\n

Burgh almost pulled one back five minutes later when Stuart Faulds sent Malky McDonald through. His shot hit the inside of one post and then the outside of the other without crossing the line.<\/p>\n

Aaron Mason eventually reduced the deficit in the 70th minute. Max Kerr\u2019s cross was punched clear by goalkeeper David Wilson, but Mason met the loose ball and fired into the bottom corner from 17 yards.<\/p>\n

Jamieson made his Burgh debut and was involved two minutes later when his pass released Gabriel Nosa, whose shot was cleared off the line by Jack Devlin.<\/p>\n

Burgh made it 4-3 in the 80th minute. McDonald found McShane on the left of the box and his ball across goal was diverted into the net by Oliver Hynd for an own goal.<\/p>\n

The comeback was completed four minutes later. Max Kerr delivered a corner from the right and Durnan headed home his second goal of the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Burgh then had an opportunity to win the match in the second minute of added time. Nosa\u2019s headed flick released Mason, but Wilson saved his shot to secure a point for Colts.<\/p>\n

The result leaves Johnstone Burgh eighth with 12 points from seven matches.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Auchinleck Talbot beat Caledonian Braves 3-1. K. McAvoy opened the scoring after 30 minutes before S. Thompson equalised for Braves in the 40th minute. E. Thomson restored Talbot\u2019s lead before half-time and C. Crooks completed the scoring in the 70th minute. Braves were reduced to ten men when D. McMahon was sent off in the 68th minute.<\/p>\n

Beith Juniors and Albion Rovers drew 1-1. C. Neeson gave Rovers the lead from a corner in the seventh minute before D. Finnigan equalised four minutes after half-time, assisted by Conner McGlinchey.<\/p>\n

Clydebank recorded a 4-0 victory over Largs Thistle. N. McLaughlin scored a seventh-minute penalty before adding his second in the 44th minute. D. Docherty turned in Rossiter\u2019s corner shortly after the restart and O. McHugh completed the scoring in the 78th minute.<\/p>\n

Cumnock Juniors were 6-1 winners away to Dalbeattie Star. C. Burke and J. Craig put Cumnock two ahead before G. Kalala pulled one back for Dalbeattie. Z. Craik scored twice in the second half, with a B. Nelson own goal and a R. Edgar goal completing the scoring.<\/p>\n

Pollok produced a late comeback of their own to beat Gretna 2008 3-2. I. Anderson put Gretna ahead from the penalty spot in the 49th minute and T. Chapman doubled their advantage in the 68th minute.<\/p>\n

L. McGonigle converted a penalty in the 84th minute before Gretna’s J. Atkinson was sent off a minute later. McGonigle scored another penalty in the second minute of added time and L. Watt struck in the fifth minute of stoppage time to give Pollok all three points.<\/p>\n

Kilwinning Rangers beat Celtic B 4-0. Paul Frize opened the scoring from a rebound in the seventh minute before R. Wilson made it 2-0 from a long throw. D. O\u2019Neill converted a 36th-minute penalty as Celtic B were reduced to ten men, with Hassan Dembele shown the red card. Wilson added his second in the 76th minute.<\/p>\n

Troon were 5-1 winners away to Newton Stewart. Jack Allan opened the scoring in the first minute before A. Drysdale equalised for Newton Stewart in the 11th minute.<\/p>\n

Allan restored Troon\u2019s lead after half an hour and G. Armstrong headed home a Callan Veitch corner eight minutes later. D. Fulton made it 4-1 from Kyle Gilroy\u2019s cross in the 56th minute before L. Dunlop converted a late penalty.<\/p>\n

Johnstone Burgh return to league action away to Troon at Portland Park on Wednesday, 16th September, with kick-off at 7.45pm.<\/p>\n
