Houston United played their first-ever senior league match on Sunday as they began their SWFL Central-West campaign against Drumchapel United.<\/p>\n
The Renfrewshire side travelled to the Donald Dewar Centre for the opening fixture of their league season on Sunday, 27th September.<\/p>\n
It was a difficult introduction to senior league football for Houston, with Drumchapel recording a 16-0 victory.<\/p>\n
Cara Anderson led the scoring with six goals. Anderson returned to Drumchapel in August after spending a season away from the club.<\/p>\n
Lily Caldwell scored four times, while Zoe Clark, Tiegan McPadden and Lucy Mullen each scored twice.<\/p>\n
Despite the result, the match marked an important milestone for Houston as their first senior league fixture.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the game, Houston said: \u201cTomorrow marks another milestone for us as we take to the pitch in our first senior league game.<\/p>\n
\u201cA few new faces have freshened up the match day squad as we look to improve on recent performances.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy not come and cheer the girls on tomorrow over at the drum as we look for a positive start to our league campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n
