Birkmyre v Moffat
Men’s West Region League Division 3

Birkmyre take on Lanark Clydesdale this Saturday in what will be their penultimate match of the season.

Last week saw a last minute league shake up as Glasgow Uni Medics were removed from West League 3 due to failing to fulfil too many fixtures. As a result, the league table was recalculated which guarantees the Kilmacolm side no less than 2nd place and promotion which goes along with it.

Birkmyre do however, have their eyes firmly on the title. They sit 10 points behind Irvine who have completed all their fixtures. This means that two bonus point wins in the final fixtures, would see them lift the title for the first time in 8 years, given their superior point difference.

The fixture this Saturday kicks off at 3pm at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire. The final fixture is at home to Lochaber on Sat 4th May.
