Thorn Athletic’s 2017s team is looking for intermediate and advanced young players to join the squad as the club prepares for the next stage of its development.
The Johnstone-based side is encouraging parents of talented players born in 2017 to get involved, with training currently taking place on Mondays at Seedhill and Fridays at Ferguslie.
The club says players will benefit from coaching delivered by SFA and UEFA-qualified coaches, with a focus on developing young footballers in a positive and supportive environment.
Thorn Athletic is also preparing to move into a brand-new, custom-built training complex which aims to support the development of grassroots players and provide improved facilities for the club.
The 2017s squad is part of the wider Thorn Athletic Football Club setup at the Thorn Athletic Sports Academy in Johnstone, which has built a reputation locally for developing young talent.
The club says places in the squad are limited and they are keen to hear from dedicated young players who want to develop their game.
