St Mirren Women secured a 5-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic Women in the Barclays Scottish Women’s League One at Mossedge Village in Linwood.

The Saints did most of the damage during a quick start, scoring three times inside the opening 13 minutes before adding another two goals after the break.

Praise Adebo opened the scoring after just two minutes. Helen McLeod’s header was saved by Dunfermline goalkeeper Kendra Stockman, but Adebo followed up to score from the rebound.

St Mirren doubled their advantage in the 10th minute.

Robyn O’Neill played the ball down the line for McLeod, who finished to make it 2-0.

Just three minutes later, O’Neill went from provider to goalscorer.

Lucy Don found O’Neill with a pass in behind the Dunfermline defence and she finished into the bottom-left corner to give St Mirren a 3-0 lead after only 13 minutes.

There were no further goals before the interval, with St Mirren taking their three-goal advantage into half-time.

The home side added their fourth in the 54th minute.

O’Neill won possession and picked out Sandra Craig, who lifted her finish over the goalkeeper from outside the box.

O’Neill was involved again as St Mirren completed the scoring eight minutes later.

Her pass sent Nikki Lavery through on goal and Lavery kept her composure to score in the 62nd minute, making it 5-0.

St Mirren saw out the remainder of the match without conceding to secure all three points and a clean sheet.

O’Neill finished the afternoon with one goal and three assists.
