Hagg Bar A and Victoria Bowling Club maintained their perfect starts to the Paisley District Darts League season with victories in the 1st Division on Sunday, 28th September.
Both sides have won their opening two matches and sit level on four points at the top of the table.
Hagg Bar A recorded an 8-1 victory over Hagg Bar B, while Victoria Bowling Club beat Hashtag Bar 7-2.
David Carmichael, Josh Leitch and Evander Stevenson each recorded a 180 for Hagg Bar A. Stevenson also had 16 and 18-dart finishes and a 107 checkout, while Patrick McShane recorded a 16-dart finish and George Dempsey had a 100 checkout.
Victoria Bowling Club’s John Williamson recorded two 180s, with Chris Coyle, John McCallum and George Millar also hitting one each.
Williamson had 14 and 18-dart finishes, while Brian Maley recorded a 16-dart finish. Hashtag Bar’s Jamie McCabe had 16 and 18-dart finishes, with Mark Crawford recording a 126 checkout.
Bishopton Social Club also made it two wins from two after edging Callum’s B 5-4. Lee Jackson hit a 180 for Bishopton, while Craig Taft recorded an 18-dart finish and Ryan McMahon had a 113 checkout.
Flying Horse picked up their first victory with a 6-3 win over The Last Post. James Hamill hit one 180 and John Peacock recorded two for Flying Horse, while Robert Sutherland hit a 180 for The Last Post.
Clachan Arrows won 5-4 away to St. Peters, with Robert Stevenson recording a 180 for the visitors. Drew Callary had a 17-dart finish for St. Peters, while Davy Hendry recorded a 112 checkout and Alan Ferguson Jr a 100 checkout.
Tartan Thunder were 6-3 winners against The Clippens. Josh Traw hit a 180 for The Clippens, while John Kerr and Andy McGrath did likewise for Tartan Thunder. Daniel Brown and McGrath both recorded 17-dart finishes, with Tam Norton checking out 130.
In the 2nd Division, Tartan Rose, Hazel Nutz and Tartan Buds all maintained perfect records after two matches.
Tartan Rose recorded the biggest victory of the night with a 9-0 win over The Howwood Inn. Richard Maitland hit a 180 for Tartan Rose, while Alexander Jackman recorded a 100 checkout for The Howwood Inn.
Hazel Nutz beat Midton Bowling Club 6-3, with Michael Hughes recording an 18-dart finish.
Tartan Buds edged Callum’s A 5-4, while Lochy’s picked up their first win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Clippens Inn. Logan Larkin and Iain Reynolds both hit 180s for Clippens Inn.
After two rounds, Hagg Bar A and Victoria Bowling Club lead the 1st Division with four points and a +12 leg difference. Bishopton Social Club are also on four points.
Tartan Rose lead the 2nd Division with four points and a +12 difference, followed by Hazel Nutz and Tartan Buds, who also have four points.
