A number of West of Scotland clubs have been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks, with new signings confirmed and several contract updates emerging through club announcements and league activity.

Pollok have added defensive cover with the signing of centre-back Stewart Houston from Gartcairn, confirmed on 10th January. The club has also seen two departures, with midfielder Andrew Gaffney and forward Godspower Oguama both moving to Irvine Meadow XI for undisclosed fees, a deal completed in late November.

Auchinleck Talbot have strengthened across the park. Forward Cameron Keay signed on 9th January, bringing experience from Greenock Morton and at Scottish Schools International level. The club have also brought in forward Argyll McCoist on loan from Drumchapel United until the end of the season, a move announced in December but still featuring in recent updates. Goalkeeper Jordan Longmuir has also joined on a short-term deal from Pollok, running until the end of the current campaign.

Shotts Bon Accord confirmed the return of defender Chris Meikle on 9th January, bolstering their back line. The club have also secured the futures of Taylor Evans and Josh Gracie, with both players signing contract extensions that will keep them at Shotts until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Beith Juniors have been active with a mix of permanent and loan deals. Midfielder Tommy Sharp has joined on loan from Stranraer until the end of the season, confirmed on 3rd January. The club also signed midfielder Dominic Morgan from Gartcairn in December, along with goalkeeper Charlie Cowie, who also arrived from Gartcairn shortly before Christmas.

Glenafton Athletic have moved to strengthen their goalkeeping options with the signing of Max Currie from St Cadoc’s. The goalkeeper agreed an 18-month deal back in November, keeping him at Loch Park until the end of the 2026/27 season, with the move resurfacing in recent league updates.

Transfer activity across the league is expected to continue as clubs look to strengthen for the second half of the season, with further moves likely before squads are finalised for the run-in.
