Johnstone Burgh will host Largs Thistle this weekend after both clubs saw their scheduled away fixtures postponed due to bad weather.
Burgh had been due to travel to Dundee to face Dundee Violet, while Largs Thistle were set to play Fraserburgh United. Persistent wet conditions in both areas led to the matches being called off.
With fixtures beginning to build up across the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division, the two clubs agreed to switch plans if their away games were lost to the weather.
That agreement has now come into effect, with Johnstone Burgh FC instead hosting Largs Thistle FC at Keanie Park.
The league fixture will be played on Saturday 7th February with a 1.30pm kick-off. All facilities at Keanie Park will be open to supporters.
The move allows both sides to keep games ticking over as postponements continue to disrupt schedules across the league.
A spokesperson for Dundee Violet JFC, said: “Unfortunately, tomorrow’s Scottish Communities Cup tie against Johnstone Burgh has been postponed due to a waterlogged area at Glenesk Park and the continued bad weather . We have worked tirelessly this week to try and get this game on but have unfortunately been beaten by mother nature.
“A new date will be confirmed in due course.”
