St Mirren will face Partick Thistle at home in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals as they continue their push for a historic domestic double.
The Paisley side booked their place in the last eight with an extra-time win away to Airdrieonians and now stand three games away from lifting the trophy. Stephen Robinson’s team are already silverware winners this season after beating Celtic to lift the League Cup and will be aiming to add the Scottish Cup to that success.
The quarter-final draw sets up a tricky test against Championship opposition, with Partick Thistle earning their place by knocking out Elgin City. The tie will be played on the weekend of Saturday 7th March.
Elsewhere, Rangers were drawn at home to Old Firm rivals Celtic in a blockbuster tie at Ibrox.
Holders Aberdeen face a potential trip to Dunfermline Athletic or Motherwell, with that fifth-round tie still to be settled. Dundee United or Spartans will visit Falkirk in the remaining quarter-final.
Dundee United’s meeting with Spartans was originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on Tayside. That match will now take place on Tuesday 17th February.
All four quarter-final ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday 7th March, with kick-off times and broadcast details to be confirmed.
