Drumchapel United have announced they have been awarded their Scottish FA Entry Level Licence, subject to formal ratification.

The club confirmed the milestone follows two years of work behind the scenes to meet the required standards.

In a statement, Drumchapel United said: “Drumchapel United are delighted to announce that, after two years of hard work, we have been awarded our SFA Entry Level Licence subject to formal ratification.

“This achievement reflects a phenomenal effort behind the scenes from so many dedicated people. It’s a moment we are incredibly proud of as a club where community is at the heart of everything we do.

“Making this milestone even more special, it comes in the year we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a club – a testament to the dedication, growth, and spirit that has defined Drumchapel United over the years.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey—this is just the beginning.”

The SFA Entry Level Licence is a key step for clubs looking to progress within the Scottish football pyramid, allowing participation in national competitions such as the Scottish Cup, while confirming that facilities, governance and club structures meet the required standards.

A number of clubs across the West of Scotland have already secured their licences in recent years, including Johnstone Burgh, Pollok, and Auchinleck Talbot, with others continuing to work towards meeting the criteria.

For Drumchapel United, it marks a significant step forward and places them among a growing group of ambitious clubs building towards further progression within the game, as they celebrate 25 years since their formation.
