Paisley & District Darts League’s Hagg Bar Trophy group stage has wrapped up, with the quarter-final line-up now confirmed for Monday 30th March.
The group phase produced plenty of high scores and some one-sided wins, but it also threw up a number of tight contests as teams battled to reach the knockout rounds.
Hashtag Bar finished top of Group A with a perfect record, winning all four of their matches and posting 29 legs for and just seven against. St. Peters also made it through from the section after finishing second on four points.
Flying Horse also completed the group stage with four wins from four in Group B. They ended with 28 legs won and only eight lost. Hagg C joined them in the quarter-finals after taking second place.
Pockets A were the team to beat in Group C, winning all four of their matches to finish on eight points. Clachan Arrows claimed the other qualifying spot after ending the section in second place.
Group D saw Hagg A continue their strong form by winning all five of their matches. They topped the standings with 40 legs won and only five lost. Pockets B also progressed after finishing second with four wins from five.
The final round of group matches on Monday 23rd March included a number of big results. Hashtag Bar defeated Bishopton Social Club 7-2, Lochy’s beat Hazel Arrows 7-2, and Hagg A recorded an 8-1 win over Pockets B. There were also narrow wins for Flying Horse and Tartan Thunder, who both came through 5-4 in close matches.
That has now set up a quarter-final card for next Monday night, with Flying Horse facing Clachan Arrows, Hagg A taking on St. Peters, Hashtag Bar meeting Hagg C, and Pockets A playing Pockets B.
All four ties are scheduled for a 8:00pm start.
