The West of Scotland Premier Division is set for a tense finish as clubs head into the final run of fixtures with promotion, league positions and pride all still on the line.
At the top, Troon lead the way on 52 points from 23 games and remain in control of the title race. Cumnock Juniors sit second on 48 points, while Auchinleck Talbot, with games in hand, are close behind on 46 and still firmly in contention.
Largs Thistle and Pollok are level on 41 points, although Largs have played more matches. Johnstone Burgh are sixth on 37 points but have games in hand and could yet influence the final standings in the closing weeks.
Further down, the middle of the table remains tight. Arthurlie and Hurlford United are level on 36 points, while Drumchapel United and Glenafton Athletic sit just behind.
At the bottom, the battle to avoid finishing last continues. Shotts Bon Accord are on 24 points, Rutherglen Glencairn on 20, and St Cadoc’s remain adrift on eight points.
Clubs also have differing numbers of games left to play, which could prove decisive. Auchinleck Talbot and Johnstone Burgh both have multiple fixtures still to play, while others are closer to completing their campaigns.
Key fixtures in the coming weeks include:
- Troon hosting Pollok on Saturday 11th April
- Johnstone Burgh travelling to Cumnock Juniors on Wednesday 8th April
- Auchinleck Talbot facing Cumnock Juniors on Saturday 18th April

With no relegation from the league this season, attention is focused on final placings and the potential for clubs to move up the pyramid, particularly those meeting SFA licensing criteria.
The title race remains open, with Troon holding the advantage but facing pressure from both Cumnock Juniors, Auchinleck Talbot and johnstone Burgh.
