The new SWPL 2 season got underway on Sunday, 16th August, while the Barclays Scottish Women’s League One reached matchday three.

Renfrew Women began their SWPL 2 campaign at Holm Park with a 5-1 defeat against Kilmarnock.

Kilmarnock’s victory put them top of the table after the opening round of fixtures, ahead of Boroughmuir Thistle, St Johnstone Ladies and Queen’s Park, who also started with wins.

Elsewhere, Dundee United and Falkirk Ladies drew 2-2, while Boroughmuir Thistle beat Gartcairn 4-1. Queen’s Park recorded a 2-1 win over Hamilton Academical and St Johnstone Ladies defeated Livingston 3-1.

It was St Mirren’s second league match of the season and leaves them tenth in the table without a point.
