St Mirren Women won 4-1 away to Edinburgh South CFC in the Barclays Scottish Women’s League One on Sunday, 6th September.

Casey Canning scored twice, with Lucy Don and Helen McLeod also on target at Holyrood High School in Edinburgh.

Canning opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Amelie Connell played the ball behind the Edinburgh South defence, and Canning reached it before the goalkeeper, rounded her and rolled it into the empty net.

St Mirren led 1-0 at half-time.

Don doubled the lead in the 53rd minute. Rebecca Kelly crossed to the back post, where Don finished low to make it 2-0.

McLeod added the third in the 68th minute. Canning played the ball through the defence, and McLeod finished into the bottom-left corner.

Canning scored her second in the first minute of added time. Rosie Duncan played the ball down the line, and Canning finished high into the net.

Edinburgh South scored a consolation in the third minute of added time to make the final score 4-1.
