Johnstone Burgh claimed the Renfrewshire derby honours at the weekend, while Thorn Athletic and Glenvale were both beaten in their respective West of Scotland Football League matches.
Johnstone Burgh left it late to claim all three points as they beat Renfrew 3-2 in the Scottish Lowland League West at Keanie Park on Saturday, 26th September.
Burgh led 2-0 at half-time through goals from Mark Barrowman and Aaron Mason before Renfrew fought back after the break.
Jordan Moore pulled a goal back on the hour mark before Alan Cook converted a penalty four minutes later to make it 2-2.
Renfrew then had several chances to take the lead, but it was Johnstone Burgh who found the winner in the first minute of added time.
Max Kerr’s inswinging corner from the right found substitute Thomas Orr, who sent a right-foot volley into the net from two yards to secure a 3-2 victory for Burgh.
The result moved Johnstone Burgh up two places to seventh in the table, with 18 points from ten matches. Renfrew are 15th with seven points from ten matches.
Both clubs now turn their attention to the first round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Saturday, 3rd October. Johnstone Burgh travel to Blairmount Park to face Newton Stewart, while Renfrew welcome Broxburn Athletic to New Western Park. Both ties kick off at 3pm.

Thorn Athletic were beaten 2-0 by Threave Rovers in the West of Scotland Football League First Division at Meadow Park.
Threave opened the scoring after 22 minutes when Charlie Cowie started the move with a throw to Alex Henderson, who found Harry Officer. He played in Lewis Downie, who finished at the near post.
It remained 1-0 at half-time before Threave doubled their advantage in the 55th minute. Liam Nish sent a low cross across the six-yard box and, after Thorn goalkeeper Allan parried the ball, substitute Ross Irving scored.
Threave goalkeeper Cowie kept a clean sheet as the home side completed a 2-0 victory. Thorn will now prepare to host Lanark in their next match.

Glenvale were beaten 4-0 by East Kilbride YM in the West of Scotland Football League Third Division at Ferguslie Sports Centre in Paisley.
East Kilbride YM scored all four goals before half-time, with Mikey Gaughan, Ger Stevenson, James Banks and Andy Perrie on target for the visitors.
There were no further goals after the break, with East Kilbride YM goalkeeper Graeme McMillan recording his second consecutive clean sheet as the visitors completed a 4-0 victory.
