Houston United played their first-ever senior league match on Sunday as they began their SWFL Central-West campaign against Drumchapel United.
The Renfrewshire side travelled to the Donald Dewar Centre for the opening fixture of their league season on Sunday, 27th September.
It was a difficult introduction to senior league football for Houston, with Drumchapel recording a 16-0 victory.
Cara Anderson led the scoring with six goals. Anderson returned to Drumchapel in August after spending a season away from the club.
Lily Caldwell scored four times, while Zoe Clark, Tiegan McPadden and Lucy Mullen each scored twice.
Despite the result, the match marked an important milestone for Houston as their first senior league fixture.
Ahead of the game, Houston said: “Tomorrow marks another milestone for us as we take to the pitch in our first senior league game.
“A few new faces have freshened up the match day squad as we look to improve on recent performances.
“Why not come and cheer the girls on tomorrow over at the drum as we look for a positive start to our league campaign.”
Houston are next scheduled to face Dumbarton at Gryffe High School on Sunday, 4th October. A kick-off time is still to be confirmed.
